Hello all!

Recently I visited www.indianblooddonors.com , a concept by Dr. Kushroo Poacha (I might be wrong on the spelling). The site aims at enabling common man to find a voluntary blood donor near him, speedily. The site has been there for long but most impressive addition to it is the new sms service. (I could not surf the site because of some problems with my ISP, hence, you are requested to log on to the site for full details).

Since the day I came to know about various DICs working in India, I was wondering the need for so many DICs when all of them can be clubbed to have a unified DIC with ease of accessibility to the extent that information can be get even through sms. I have no technical details but Dr. Poacha might be happy to share them with us if someone from us can get in touch with him on this issue. If all of us here can pool a small amount of money, we shall be able to raise ample funds for establishing an internet/post/sms/phone based unified DIC which will act as a central control station for various existing and new DICs ( which will be something like police control room.........we make a phone call on 100 for police control room throughout India but the call is attended by the local police).

For those having a hearty laugh after reading it, its just a suggestion from a fresher.
