Teaching Pharmacology and Therapeutics (17)
***********

Dear Dr. Mathur,

I retire next year! I was in McMaster in 1982-83, and in 86 was part of the task force II on Network of Community oriented Med. schools, which I think was the forerunner of the Maschtricht and the Alexandria experiments. Anyway thank you for calling me young.

I do follow this exchange pretty closely. I agree with many of the suggestions. In a separate mail, I will send out to the group, a proposal on what we can do (When I have the specifics a little clearer).

But what is interesting is the overwhelming response to this simple question. This response reiterates what I have always maintaind - that there are islands of quality all over the country and what we need is a mechanism to bring them together. I am thankful to Dr. Roy Chaudhury for doing this through the India-Drug. Not for nothing did they call you a Catalyst sir! The country is lucky to have someone like you.

Dr. Mathur, we should definetily work towards consolidation, networking and specific action plans. Or else, this upsurge of enthusiasm will be lost.

I hope to be able to continue to contribute.
