Teaching Pharmacology and Therapeutics (8)
***********

Dear All,

I agree with Sampada, this is the real life situation. Topics like RUD are not very attractive. In our experience we have found that doctors are more interested in recent advances rather than optimum use of drugs. Perhaps this is related to financial incentives given by the pharmaceutical industry. However, at the same time there is a section of doctors working in remote areas at PHCs and CHCs who are not visited by MRs and also they are not exposed to any kind of continuing education programmes. In some states they are also practicing. We need to think about strategies to introduce CME programmes for this group.
