Dear Sir,

Such 'guide books' are easily available, at least in Delhi at the price of 
about Rs.100-200 under names like "drug-today', 'CIMS', 'MIMS' but I really 
doubt if any physician is inerested in reading them?

Dear Dr. Roy Chaudhury,

  It would be really useful if a simple manual/guidebook for consumers about 
commonly available brand names for the same drug could be brought out, to 
enable consumers to figure out if a cheaper one is likely to be equally 
effective. The chemists tend to advise on the basis of their own interests .
