Dear Prof. Roy Chaudhury,

Thank you very much for reviving the India-Drug Network where we can 
exchange views.

The last sentence of your message "Let us do our best to ensure that nobody 
needs to go without medicines or pay unnecessarily for an equally effective 
drug" is very interesting and a great challenge to all of us.

I am happy to share the information that under your able guidance and the 
hard work of several of my colleagues the India-ISPOR Chapter has received 
recognition from the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and 
Outcomes Research. We plan to do activities under this banner that would 
work on achieving the goal set by you. The immediate activities are; a weeks 
course on Pharmacoeconomics; 2 days Conference on Pharmacoeconomics and 
Outcomes Research in November; and a 12 days International Course on 
Promoting Rational Drug Use in the Community in December. These small 
activities are likely to bring change in our society.
