Zinc is available in India in in formulations containing combinations
with vitamins. It is recommended by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics
for management of acute watery diarrhoea. Zinc therapy has been found
to reduce duration of acute watery diarrhoea. As of now WHO does not
recommend Zinc therapy.
