Dear All,

Orissa is preparing the revised Essential Drug List-2004. Regarding
the manufacturing technology of Large Volume Parenteral Fluids (LVPF),
there are two types i.e., FORM-FILL-SEAL (FFS) and BLOW-FILL-SEAL
(BFS).

FFS is automatic & continuous process whereas BFS is semiautomatic
and non-continuous process as per Schedule-M of Drug & Cosmetics Act.

I want to know which is the better technology & Why ?
What is the experience of other States in procurement of LVPF ?
