Dear Friends,

We do understand the problem. But who would do that is a big question. The
political economy of essential medicine is very much unaddressed among the
medical professions. We always look to others who would do this. The fight for implementation of introduction of generic name is just lost due to the
pressure. Our national companies are taking shape of TNCs to take
advantage of the so called export opportunities to earn some extra dollars. As if there is no demand for Amoxicillin or front line drugs.

So, I always urge everybody to come together to fight together. Let us organize to disseminate necessary information on drug and drug utilization to enable the medical professions to review the drugs and comparative advantages between the drugs. I want to say more regarding the subject, don't keep Pharmacology only in academic exercise but let you people devote your time to put it in operation in the medical science and treatment to keep people Healthy and Wealthy. Medicine is not only the business of
prescribers and Producers. How? Let us talk and join in hand for the people.

Thanks.

Regards,
Tariqul Islam
