INDIA-DRUG May 2004 Survey Results

Dear colleagues,
We sent out 248 surveys and received 19 responses. The response rate is
7.7%, lower than we expected. Clearly we need to work together so that
the forum meets your needs. We would like to share the highlights of
the survey results with you.
1. Who are you?
Pharmacists, physicians, academics (teaching and research), consultants
2. Where do you work?
Universities, medical colleges, and pharmacies
3. Where do you live?
India mainly, Bangladesh, Australia, Netherlands, Thailand, USA
4. Gender
26.3% female, 73.7% male
5. Overall value of the discussion group
Good
6. Participation
You read most of the messages each week and also post regularly to the
discussion group. Most of you are happy to read the messages since you
may be too busy and/or do not have the time to post to the forum. A
small number of you do not know how to submit messages to the forum.
7. What information do you find useful?
You find discussion of topics most useful, followed by announcements,
journal articles and book references, and links to Internet resources.
8. Sharing of information
83% of you share the information with your colleagues reaching a larger
audience.
Your suggestions for improvement were constructive and helpful and we
will try to implement those within our resources.
