Response to drug promotion
---------------------------
Dear I - Druggers,
For the last few weeks there have been many exchanges on unethical
promotion of drugs in India in Idrug. Those who are participating in
the
discussion, obviously are concerned about this problem. I am sure many
more are there who are concerned about the same.
Major issue is that we should be in a position to solve the issue. Just
exchanging views is not enough. Some body has to bell the cat to make
our authorities to implement the law and educate public as well as
doctor community. It is important that some initiative is taken in this
direction. Otherwise this issue will remain as such for years to come.
I would prefer that we discuss more on ways and means to tackle this
problem rather than bringing out what has already been given in media.
