Response to Anti-TB drugs in single dose sachet
----------------------------------------------

Dear I Drug Participants,

Dispensing of Anti TB drug in single sachet sounds good. However, the
treatment for 8 weeks require more clarification. Is it an intensive
phase or the total treatment? I think we have to be very very careful
in interpreting such information. We should be clear about drugs
included in the sachet. Advocating 8 weeks treatment for TB at this
stage may not lead to more problems. We must have evidence on the
efficacy of 8 weeks treatment before such a regimen is promoted.

Best wishes,

Dr. Usha Gupta
Secretary
