Response to Govt may okay Nimesulide as safe drug

Dear Sunitha,

Many drugs that have been banned abroad are still
available in this country. This is worrying, specially
since we don?t even have a mechanism for post marketing
surveillance.

The process should certainly be made transparent. I
think we should also make efforts to have a system for
reporting adverse effects.
