Great Britain: Written SOPs for Dispensing

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain has given guidelines
on developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures in its
publication "Medicines, ethics and practice: A guide for pharmacists"
which is available on the Society's website at
ww.rpsgb.org.uk/practice. 

In 1999, the Council of the Society decided that every community and
hospital pharmacy should put in place written standard operating
procedures (SOPs) covering the dispensing process by 1 January 2005.
