Promoting RUD
-------------

Dear All,

I feel it is high time for all of us to break silence and make India
Drug useful. In the beginning I would be interested in initiating
discussion on two topics as given-

(A) Promoting Rational Use of Drugs in Private Sector in India.

(B) Health Providers-Public Partenership in Safe and Effective Use of
Medicine.

I have three questions for Topic (A)-

(a) Is there still a need for creating general awareness about RUD or
straightway deal specific areas( TB, Diabetes, Hypertension,Asthma etc)

(b) Should we have seminars, workshops - if yes, how to go about it?
Who should be approached-Medical Association or any Academic Society?

(c) Can we consider disseminating guidelines prepared by respective
experts through DSPRUD website.

Best wishes
Dr Usha Gupta
