[les prix des ARV pour les traitements de 1ère ligne continuent de baisser
selon un nouveau rapport de l'OMS qui confirme que le prix médian de
l'association la plus prescrite (stavudine 30 mg + lamivudine 150 mg +
nevirapine 200 mg) a baissé entre janvier et juin 2007.
Cette association est maintenant disponible à 100  dollars US par patient et
par an avec un prix médian de 77 $US pour les pays à faibles revenus et
99$US pour les pays à revenus moyens.

La même chose est observée pour les ARV pédiatriques : le prix median pour
l'association la plus utilisée (zidovudine 10 mg/ml + lamivudine 10 mg/ml +
nevirapine 10 mg/ml) pour un enfant de 5 kg  est de 174 par patient et par
an pour les pays à faibles revenus et 235 US par patient et par an pour les
pays à revenus moyens.

Prices of ARVs continue to decline for the first-line regimen:  a new report
from WHO Global Price Reporting Mechanism (GPRM).      

The new summary report by the WHO/AMDS Global Price Reporting Mechanism
(GPRM) confirms that median prices of the most commonly prescribed ARVs in
fixed dose combination (stavudine 30 mg + lamivudine 150 mg + nevirapine 200
mg) continued to decline during the period from January to June 2007. They
are now available for less than US$ 100 per patient per year (pppy) with a
median price of US$ 77 in low-income countries and US$ 99 in middle-income
countries.  

The same trend is being observed with ARVs for children. However, the costs
of oral solutions for infants/young children still remain high. For
instance, the median cost of the most widely prescribed regimen as oral
solution (zidovudine 10 mg/ml + lamivudine 10 mg/ml + nevirapine 10 mg/ml)
for a five kg infant is now US$ 174 (pppy) in low-income countries and US$
235 (pppy) in middle-income countries.
