En réponse au message d'Albert, je souhaite vous informer que le projet de rapport du secrétariat de l'OMS sur "Usage rationnel des médicaments : le point sur la mise en œuvre de la stratégie des médicaments de l'OMS" sera discuté lors  de la prochaine réunion du Conseil exécutif qui se tient du 29 mai au premier juin 2006. Cette discussion se fera dans la perspective de l'assemblée mondiale de 2007. 2007 sera l'année du trentième anniversaire du concept du médicament

In response to Albert's message, I would like to inform you that the WHO Secretariat's report and draft Resolution on "Rational use of medicines: progress in implementing the WHO Medicines Strategy" will be discussed at the upcoming 118th Executive Board, 29th May - 1st June 2006. The document can be viewed at the website address:

The report and draft resolution will be discussed with a view to forwarding it for discussion at the World Health Assembly in May 2007. In fact, 2007 will be the 30th anniversary of the essential drug concept and thus a discussion on rational use of medicines at the World Health Assembly will be very timely.
