El American College of Cardiology ha emitido comentarios, opiniones y entrevistas con los autores del meta-analisis. En un video el Presidente de la ACC, opina:

In a message to American College of Cardiology members, ACC President James Dove noted that "additional data from the RECORD trial and reanalysis of data from the DREAM trial may contradict the information published in the New England Journal of Medicine ... the important thing is to try to counter the anxiety many patients are experiencing. For doctors that have the capability of communicating electronically with patients, it would be advisable to issue a communication regarding this important news, and to put it into perspective."
