E-DRUG: Global Health Conference, AED Event, Technology & Community Health
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If you are attending the Global Health Conference:
AED Invites You to Join Us for an Auxiliary Event/Reception at the International Conference on Global Health
Wednesday, May 28, 5:30-7:30
Ambassador Ballroom
Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Get Smart: Technology and Community Health
Relax, enjoy refreshments, and learn how technology is changing community health. In developing countries, low-cost mobile computing devices can help overcome challenges such as unreliable power, low bandwidth, and scarce resources. New "social media" offer opportunities for community mobilization and education.
Experts from the AED-SATELLIFE Center for Health Information and Technology and the AED Center for Health Communication will introduce cutting-edge computing and connectivity approaches for health and development.
Get hands-on demonstrations of PDAs, GPS, and other new communication tools, and see how social media can be leveraged. A PDA loaded with HIV/AIDS treatment information will be raffled. All conference attendees are welcome.
