Greetings from ICAQHE 2008 secretariat.

Institute of Quality and Technology Management, University of the Punjab
and University of Management and Technology in collaboration with Higher
Education Commission are organizing Second International Conference on
Assessing Quality in Higher Education from 1st - 2nd December 2008.

Theme for the ICAQHE 2008 conference is:

"Quality in Higher Education - Global Challenges and Practices".

I wish that we may have a good number of papers related to quality issues in
medical / pharmaceutical education.

Following are the areas of interest identified for conference and you may
customize these according to your requirements.

1.  Issues related to quality in higher education in developing countries.
2.  Strategic planning for higher education including standards of performance measurements and identification of quality needs of the outcomes and implementation of plans.
3.  Credibility and reliability of quality performance measures. 
4.  Ranking of universities.
5.  Ranking of academic departments
6.  Implementation plans of quality assurance schemes.
7.  Implementation of operational plans and continuous strategic planning.
8.  Developing approaches for quality assessment.
9.  Use of quality models in education.
10. Issues and problems in Ph.D. Degree quality assurance.
11. Impact of developments in assessment of quality in higher education.

Following are the deadlines for the conference:

Submission of abstract: 1st June 2008
Notification of acceptance of abstract: 1st July 2008
Submission of full paper: 15th August 2008
Notification of acceptance of full paper: 15th September 2008
