E-DRUG: Compounding and dispensing problems in Indonesia (6)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Wati,

You can try to address this situation by adopting the following ways

1. Please analyse such prescriptions highlighting ADRs of individual components of prescriptions, Drug-Drug Interactions between different components of a prescription resulting in ADRs.
2. Apply pharmacoeconomics: Identify the drugs, which are not at all needed and highlight how money is being wasted for purchasing unwanted medicines.
3. Conduct prescription survey to highlight irrationality leading to developing iatrogenic diseases and unnecessary waste of money. You may refer one of our papers "S. C. Mandal and M. Mandal, "Study of Rational Medicine use Pattern by Practitioners in an NGO-Managed Health Centre versus Private Practitioners" The Pharma Review, 208-211, 6(31), 2007". It may be available at www.kppub.com.
4. Try to publish your finding in daily news papers, Medical Journals etc.

I hope generation of public opinion regarding ill effects of such prescriptions is highly needed to solve this problem.

Thanking you.
