The prices as said  by Bhava Narayana is right, though still one should make advocacy for practice using (prescriptions  & dispensing) generic drugs.  Market forces (retail competition & patients right to buy "product') decide the discount price. Because in the market "consumer is King' , lets not make Doctors & Chemist as consumers.

  Of course the legislative changes have to come for the protection of 'right  to chose' for consumers.
