E-DRUG: Use of generic or brand names in prescriptions (3)
-------------------------------------------------

Respected members,
In India Two state governments have made that all prescrptions be written
by generic names by their employees. In India generics cost the same or more
sometimes . The price is very low till it reaches pharma stockist ,some times
less than 10% of maximum retail Price printed on the pack. For example
albendazole 400 mg tab costs INR1 at pharma stockist has MRP of
RS12. Nimesulide 10 tablets cost less than INR 2 but Mrp for pack is Rs25.
