Hi everyone,
   
  Almost all the large pharma companies in India have a significant presence in the global generics market and are also operating a drug discovery programme, even though the results from the latter are yet to come to the market.
   
  Examples are: Ranbaxy, Dr Reddy's, Wockhardt, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Nicholas Piramal, Glenmark and others.
   
  Perhaps a query sent to Mr Daara Patel, secretary general of Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association (IDMA) could yield some more details.
