Dear moderator,

You ask a good and basic question: do price controls work? 

Can we present this question to colleagues in countries such as UK and other EU countries where for many years there was a solid retail price mechanism / control for pharmaceutical products, before it was recently modified. What was the experience of colleagues that worked under that mechanism, and what lessons can be drawn from that policy decision?
