The emergency buffer stock for the supply of key HIV & AIDS products for
treatment programmes in mainly Sub Sahara Africa needs a dynamic and
creative sales officer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a
motivated sales person who can think outside the box and deliver quality
and excellence in a unique project, the first of its kind, in the effort

The emergency buffer stock project
The emergency buffer stock is funded and initiated by the Dutch Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation to offer a fall-back
service to HIV & AIDS treatment in Africa that may run out of supplies
or face unexpected service interruptions. The service will be able to
mobilize stock within 24 hours and reach 80% of Sub Sahara Africa
destinations within one week. The Ministry has contracted the Dutch
not-for profit organisation IDA Solutions and its South African
affiliate ARV Access for Africa (AA4A) to implement this new service. In
a unique example of public-private cooperation, AA4A has entered into
partnership with Pharmaceutical Healthcare Distributors (PHD) which will
be responsible for handling the business operations and logistical
service provision. The warehouse is licensed by the Medicines Control
Council (MCC) of South Africa.
All products available from the buffer stock service will comply with
either WHO or FDA quality standards and are included in the Standard
