Hi folks,
   
A colleague of mine who lives in Colombia heard on the radio a few
days ago that some Latin American countries (Cono Sur only?) are
considering (or beginning to implement?) a policy that would require
public health authorities to purchase only generics.  Provider
certification and QC would be the responsiblity of each individual
country.  

I am interested in learning more, but have been unable to find anything online.  Could anyone help out?
