E-DRUG: TRIPS-plus IP rules in the US-Jordan FTA (2)
--------------------------------------------------------

Dear All,

Here is the link to a new article on the ways in which U.S. Free Trade
Agreements block free trade of medicines, lengthen the period during which
corporate price controls prevail, and foster what is called pernicious
competition. http://blog.aapss.org/

Since medicines are technically not public goods, we need a term to refer to
goods that are important to society but can be traded. Vital public goods is
proposed as a useful term distinct from technical public goods from an
economist's point of view.

With best regards,

Donald
