E-DRUG: Heat stable oxytocin? (7)
--------------------------------------

Dear E-drug readers

A product known as "Pitogin" Oxytocin Sintetik 10iu/ml (Registration No. DKL 0006708843A1 is manufactured by PT Ethica Jakarta Indonesia. It is labelled "Store at a temperature under 20 degrees C, better in the refrigerator". This labelling is not helpful to health care workers, regarding storage requirements. I would be interested to know if there has been any stability tests conducted on this product covering a range of temperatures and times that would enable more precise storage requirements to be stipulated and monitored.
