E-DRUG: Updating National Formularies - frequency

Dear Brian

   The  OECS/PPS, a regional procurement agency of 20 years, meets yearly
   through its Therapeutic Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting to revise the
   formulary list regarding items to be deleted or added.

   We   are  currently  revising  our  6th   formulary  manual  with  the
   assistance/input  of  other  pharmacists, physicians and specialists .
   This manual is re-printed every 3 years to maintain costs.

    The formulary list is used as guidance for products available through
   the  procurement  ageny/public  sector supply  chain  and health  care
   professionals may  refer  to  accepted texts like the BNF for detailed
   information on monograghs edited/added annually.
