E-DRUG: BBC: Africa rises to HIV drug challenge (2)
--------------------------------------------
It is an essential step towards betterment of health because drugs
manufactured by Western companies are much costly. They charge high profits
which increase difficulties of the patients already trapped in problems.
Local manufacturing will decrease the cost of production which will help to
treat more patients in the existing budgets.
Furthermore it will create employment opportunities for the local people.
It will also decrease dependency of African countries on the west which will
contribute to make them independent for making their decisions.
But the local manufacturers initially will have to make agreements with
these Western pharmaceuticals, so they need to be careful while making
agreements with these pharmaceuticals. They will try again to make them
dependent tactically while processing the agreements.
As I am from a third world country so I can feel the consequence of this
"jugglery of agreements".
