E-DRUG: Regulatory status of chloroform in liquid formulations in EU

Dear colleagues,
 
Can someone help me in finding the Regulatory status of chloroform added in liquid formulations in EU. I have been receiving conflicting reports as 
 
i). Chloroform is carcinogenic and is banned in EU
II). Chloroform in small concentrations (Exact concentrations not confirmed??)  is allowed in EU
 
I will be grateful if someone can provide more info on this to me.
