E-DRUG: Definition of preventable adverse drug reaction (2)
--------------------------------------------------------

Hi Gerardo,

By definition, according to NCC MERP, a medication error is preventable. I would check the US FDA web site at www.fda.gov for their definition (in CDER) for adverse drug reaction. I believe you are correct in that ADE is a braoder term than ADR.

Best wishes,
Richard
