Dear all
AIDS Medicine and Diagnostics Services (AMDS) in WHO (Geneva) is looking
for a consultant (12months) for procurement and supply management in
Myanmar. The country is now on the edge of starting ART, but has no
secured purchase and supply management mechanism in place yet. The
consultant will work under a contract with UNICEF Myanmar. Although
he/she is expected to work for HIV initially, but Tuberculosis and
Malaria will be under in his/her responsibility as well.
This is an urgent request for the country where treatment for HIV/AIDS
is going to expand. The needs for developing a sustainable supply system
for HIV related commodities is crucial for further expansion of
treatment and for WHO's 3x5 strategy. Therefore, we would very much
appreciate if you could kindly review this request, bearing in mind its
urgency.
