E-DRUG: Source of generic ivermectin? (3)

I work as a rural G.P. (General Practitioner) in a small country town. Here, the local population throughout buys "veterinary grade" Ivermectin from the farmers shop which costs less than 10% of ordinary pharmacy Ivermectin I was told.

It appears to work fine and I have not detected any adverse effects from this. Dosage is a bit tricky with the large "horse tablets", but a farmer showed me how they cut it down to human dosage size.

[I think vet. grade is normally fine, as the manufacturing process is (always?) the same. However, if strength differs substantially, the dosing becomes a problem. KM, moderator]
