E-DRUG: Conference: Risks of counterfeits in importation(2)

dear colleagues,

Given that the evidence seems to indicates that Americans are in far greater
danger of counterfeit and dangerous drugs from unscrupulous wholesalers
within the United States than from any foreign source, I hope the conference
organizers address this issue as well. It is greatly in the interest of
manufacturers as well as patients and physicians to find systemic ways to
reduce this major source of dangerous drugs. The principal one that comes to
mind is to reduce the second layer of wholesalers (after the big national
ones) and provide strict standards for those who wholesale drugs.
