Dear Colleague,

I  am  aware  of  an  instance where methylene blue dye was used as an
intravenous  placebo,  where  the  active  drugs was mitoxantrone that
causes  blue urine and blue sclera. This randomized was "Mitoxanthrone
in Multiple Sclerosis" by Hartung HP et al, Lancet, 2002.

I presume that the methylene dye was used because it was thought to be
inert. But that's an interesting point to think about it.
