E-DRUG: New molecule offers hope for faster TB cure (2)
------------------------------------------------

Dear e-drug users,

Surely, if there are urgent things to do, the need to develop more user friendly anti-tuberculosis treatments is one. And i thought, may be more meticulous agencies could proactively join in to further help to assess the new molecule?

It would certainly be disappointing to hear such issues as: there was a flaw in the study design, X was missing, Z was writing too much into the results. You are right. There are limits to administering support supervision. But in the event that a potentially helpful project is mishandled, may be we would blame the Headquarters of the World Health Organisation in Geneva?

Many of us remember the HPTN 012 Nevirapine Study that was performed in Uganda and how results were contested in a number of countries. So what do you think of the strategies to assess the impact of the new molecule against germs that generate tuberculosis? Are they adequate?
