E-DRUG: essential medical supplies, other than drug items

Dear e-drug members

The concept of essential drugs lists and priority classifications of items
according to a VEN system or similar has helped national health departments
plan priority essential drugs for primary health care initiatives to serve
the needs of a majority of people. 

Does anyone have experience of similar
lists/descriptions of items being available to classify essential medical
/sundry supplies, other than drugs, required by say primary care facilities
such as health centres, that are expected to provide a minimum or
complimentary package of health care activities for the target population. 

I am happy to collate any responses and post a summary in due course.
