E-drug: RFI free drugs for patients
---------------------------------------------

Dear all
I am a psychiatrist working in Pakistan and new to this list server,
which i am already finding quite helpful. I am planing to start a
service for poor patients to provide free antipsychotics in my
district. Are you aware of a similar programme in a developing
country on similar lines . Do you have any information on any such
programme in non communicable diseases such as diabetes which aims to
provide free or subsidized drugs in a developing country. This should
help me for advocacy in my health ministry. Would be grateful to any
member for information or identifying a possible source of
information.

[There is a range of different programs for patient payments for
essential drugs in developing countries including free medicines,
small co-payments, insurance schemes, small charges to people who can
afford to pay, and so on. Suggest you search on key words
