E-DRUG: R&D costs for drugs (3)
-------------------------------

I can see and understand the arguement to relook at the different stages of
drug development and see where costs, normally passed to the consumer, can
be cut. I do not, however, agree that Phase III should be that stage of R&D.
This is an important stage where a large number of patients in a setting
close to the intended clinical use are required. What would be the use of
picking up problems when the product is already in general consumption. I do
agree though that PMS should be agressively promoted.

Every stage of drug development needs a close relook..
