E-drug: Therapeutics Letter 46: Menopausal Combined Hormone Therapy Update
---------------------------------------------
I would like to bring to your attention the October/December 2002 issue
(#46) of the Therapeutics Letter: "Menopausal Combined Hormone Therapy
Update" that is now available on the Therapeutics Initiative web-site at
http://www.ti.ubc.ca/pages/letter46.htm
In this Letter we reviewed the evidence from the Women's Health
Initiative trial and from the follow-up of the HERS trial (HERS II),
both published in July 2002.
We concluded that long-term combined hormone therapy leads to more harm
than good in menopausal women whether they are healthy or have coronary
artery disease.
I invite you to drop by and have a look at this Letter. Please feel free
to forward this message to any of your friends or colleagues that might
be interested in this topic.
We would appreciate receiving your comments on this Therapeutics Letter
and its possible implications in clinical practice.
Best regards,
Ciprian Jauca
