E-drug: Police bust heads in Korea today over Glivic drug protest

There is a trade issue between the US and Korea over the pricing of
Glivic, drug for Leukemia. The US opposes the issuance of a
compulsory license on the drug, and has a 1999 trade agreement with
Korea that requires Korea to price innovative products at the average
price charged in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France,
Italy, Switzerland, and Japan. Norvartis charges as much as $160
per day for the drug in some countries, and patients are dying in
Korea
because they cannot afford the high government co-payment. This
morning the Korean police arrested protesters in Korea on this issue,
seriously injuring some protesters... -- the photos are here:
