E-drug: Re: Independence of pharmacy inspection
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In India, the situation is different. All drug inspectors are employed
by the Government, so there is no question of any of them owning
a pharmacy or working in one.
Another different answer from the Indian sub-continent is that
almost NONE of the drug inspectors have a community/hospital
pharmacy experience/background. The experience level expected to
qualify for the post is working experience in a pharmaceutical
industry - either in production or quality control. So, a person
coming straight from the industry becomes eligible to inspect
pharmacies as an arm of the law!
