E-drug: Tablet/capsule counting machines?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Colleagues,

Counting money in the Banking Sector is now easier than counting tabs/caps
in the pharmaceutical sector. Community pharmacists here find alot of
trouble counting tablets/caps during stock taking in their retail
pharmacies.

Does anything like "Tablet/Capsule Counting Machine exist", which community
pharmacists can use in their retail facilities -- especially for stock
taking?

[I think in Botswana we used to estimate content when doing stocktaking,
but that is not so easy from boxes of 1000. We did not have so many such
boxes though, because we found them not suitable for our small health
facilities. I never came across any such counting device for pills except
the huge dose packaging machines. KM, moderator]
