E-drug: Generic omeprazole (3)
------------------------------------------------------------

Looking at the British National Formulary it seems to me that Astra
Zeneca's patent for omeprazole has not expired in the UK yet.
Other proton pump inhibitors available in the UK are Esomeprazole
(AstraZeneca), Lansoprazole (Lederle), Pantoprazole (Knoll) and
Rapebrazole (Eisai, Janssen-Cilag) all of which seem still very well
Patent protected. If you need more info about UK you could look up
the United Kingdom Drug Information Pharmacists Group (UKDIPG)
website at www.ukdipg.org.uk.

Hope this is helpful.
