E-drug: Medicilisation - A way of life (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I disagree with this mail: about 15-20% of B hepatitis don't
recover, but become a chronic disease. Chronic Active Hepatitis
(CAH) may develops cirrhosis with an incidence/year of about 3%
and cirrhosis is at risk to develop Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC).
HCC shows an increasing mortality from 4.8 of 1969 to 11.9 on
1998 and many Autors demonstrated a strong association beetwin
HCC and HCV and HBV infection by transactivaction of viral
proteins (X, PreS2). In Taiwan, Thailand, Senegal the B vaccination
showed a dramatic fall of incidence from19.8% to 0.7.
