E-drug: EDL - ATC (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
My recollection of the discussion at the Expert Committee meeting
in 1999 was that there was more than one ATC number for some
drug products. Thus, a single dosage form of one drug might have
more than one number. This could cause confusion with stocking
numbers since for this purpose, a single dosage form of a drug
should have only one number. While there was discussion and
opinions about this issue, there were no data presented to address
the question of whether this would cause confusion in those places
most in need of the help provided by the EDL.
