RE: The electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC) online at
http://www.emc.vhn.net

The eMC website at http://www.emc.vhn.net is now fully operational,
providing reliable and authoritative medicines information to healthcare
professionals and the general public.

The eMC provides a unique resource of medicines information which is:

Extensive - the eMC already contains the Summaries of Product
Characteristics (SPCs)
of over 3,000 prescription medicines. More are being added daily, together
with
Patient Information Leaflets (PILs).

Up-to-date - the eMC is continuously updated to reflect the latest changes
to SPCs
and PILs.

Accurate - to ensure accuracy, the content of each SPC & PIL in the eMC is
validated
by the originating pharmaceutical manufacturer prior to release.

Versatile - information about a particular medicine may be found quickly
and easily
by searching on its brand name, generic name or manufacturer's name.

Easy to access - for healthcare professionals, the eMC provides a dedicated
area
accessed through a simple registration procedure upon first visiting the
site. On
subsequent visits you will be able to log-on automatically.

I hope you will take immediate advantage of the eMC and find it useful.
Should you
have any questions or comments regarding the eMC, please contact me at
