E-drug: Re: AIDS drugs turnover
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was very interested in the figures quoted in the MSF paper presented to
SA
Parliment regarding profit margins made on Antiretrovirals.
I was however confused by the exchange rate calculations and also whether
it is
correct that d4T and 3TC make billions where AZT (zidovudine) and ddI
(didanosine) only make millions.
[for those of you who like me are not so familiar with abbreviations: d4T
is stavudine and 3TC is lamivudine. KM, moderator]
Please could these statistics be checked and confirmed

[Can someone confirm that exchange rate is R 7 to 1 USD (for the last item
6.6 is used), and that AZT and ddI sell less because of lower price or
lower volume? KM, moderator]
