E-drug: Pharmacists to Population Ratio (cont'd)

As far as I know there is none. Investigation has shown that it varies
from 1 pharmacy (with 1 pharmacist) per 1500 heads (Greece) to 1
pharmacy (with several pharmacists and additional staff) per 18 000
heads (Denmark). It also depends what the pharmacies concentrate
on. If the pharmacies sell other stuff besides medicines, they tend to
serve a smaller amount of people. Scandinavian and Dutch pharmacies
serve 10 000 to 18 000 heads, but concentrate on medicines and
medical aids.
